ICELAND

FIRE, ICE & NORTHERN LIGHTS

 SEP 8-19, 2026 • 10 DAYS • 12 GUESTS only

From thundering waterfalls and ancient lava fields to glistening glaciers and steaming geothermal springs, Iceland is a land of elemental extremes.

Join us for an immersive journey through the Land of Fire and Ice- where the raw power of nature is on full display and each day reveals dramatic landscapes, wild beauty, and extraordinary experiences.

Designed for a small group of curious travelers, this expedition ventures far beyond the tourist trails. Hike through glacial valleys and surreal lava fields, snowmobile across a vast icecap, and sail majestic fjords in search of humpback and minke whales. Venture inside a luminous ice cave, wander the basalt towers of Dimmuborgir, and soak in geothermal pools surrounded by untouched wilderness. As night falls, keep watch for the ethereal glow of the Northern Lights dancing overhead.

Follow the famed Golden Circle to geysers and waterfalls and wander the surreal shoreline of Reynisfjara. Explore the tranquil Eastfjords and the striking volcanic canyon of Stuðlagil. Ride sturdy Icelandic horses through expansive valleys, explore glacial lagoons filled with floating ice, and discover charming fishing villages along the Arctic coast. From the postcard-perfect Kirkjufell mountain to the geothermal marvels of Mývatn, and the crystal caves of Langjökull- this journey is the perfect blend of cultural discovery and rugged arctic wilderness.

Along the way, enjoy delicious local cuisine, warm Icelandic hospitality, and a deeper appreciation for Iceland’s wild spirit and enduring traditions.

For the ultimate Iceland adventure, begin with our 3-day Pre-Extension. Dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Silfra Continental Divide, explore the Þingvellir National Park and visit Reykjavik’s key sites. Spend a full day touring the Reykjanes Peninsula and discover steaming geothermal fields, volcanic lakes, and the symbolic Bridge Between Continents. Rejuvenate with a swim at the famous Blue Lagoon geothermal spa.

RESERVE MY SPACE & ENQUIRIES

You've got that "I don't want to miss out" feeling for a good reason. Our expeditions are life changers and we have a solid following of Wild Earth Explorers who love returning to adventure with us. Don't hesitate in reserving your space today.

We just completed our fifteenth trip with Wild Earth Expeditions to Norway and Svalbard. We continue to be amazed at the once-in-a-lifetime animal encounters, miraculous weather, fantastic cultural experiences and fun that can only be explained by expert planning and guidance by Thomas and Natalia. It is not unusual for the carefully selected local guides to also encounter “firsts” on our trips. Due to the high number of repeats on Wild Earth trips, we have developed lifelong friendships, and every trip is a reunion of sorts and new friendships built. It doesn’t stop at the end of the trip. Thomas and Natalia are superb photographers and videographers providing a digital record (in the water and on land) of our experiences to share with friends and family. We have never met anyone who can top these experiences. We call it Wild Earth magic. Thank you, Thomas, for enriching our lives on every level.
