Natalia Baechtold
Co-Founder, Expedition Leader & Dive Master
Natalia spent her childhood enjoying the beaches of the east coast of Australia. Sun, surf and the Australian bush influenced her deep love of nature and the ocean. Once Thomas and Natalia married in Palau, a life of travel and adventure began. Ten years of working on all 7 continents has allowed Natalia to indulge her photographic eye in dramatic land and seascapes, as well as focus on the individuality of the world’s Indigenous peoples. Natalia’s business management and exceptional customer service skills supported her work as an Expedition leader, Cruise Director, Dive guide, Zodiac driver, Photographer and general Naturalist for various high-end Expedition companies.
As a Co-Founder of Wild Earth Expeditions, established in 2009, Natalia has brought strong leadership, innovation and creative business sense to the development of Wild Earth Expeditions over the past 15 years.
Natalia has also dedicated the past decade to parenting their two daughters Estelle and Coco and lives happily with one little dog and a big veggie patch on the Mid North Coast at Bonville, Australia.
